Summary: We organized a last-minute birthday trip, booking this rental just two days before check-in after our original vacation at a beach resort was canceled due to hurricane. Unfortunately, the property did not meet our expectations or the advertised standards. The issues we encountered are as follows: 1. The swimming pool was not available on our first day. 2. Uneven temperature throughout the house, with some areas being very cold and others very hot. 3. Low water pressure. 4. Non-functioning showers in some bathrooms. 5. Broken doors, including an upstairs bedroom balcony door that could not stay closed. 6. A broken swimming pool fence, creating a safety hazard for the young children in our group. 7. The refrigerator and freezer temperatures were insufficient. 8. Moldy toilet tissue. 9. Lack of privacy and bugs entering the room made one occupant uncomfortable sleeping there. 10. Lack of window coverings on bedroom windows for privacy. 11. Broken towel holders in the bathroom. 12. Excessive dust, which triggered our allergies. 13. Non-functioning gym equipment. While this home has great potential, it requires significant maintenance and care. The current condition does not align with the luxury standards we expected. The property is outdated and overpriced given these issues. We also found several negative reviews on alternate websites, indicating that similar complaints have been made that suggests a pattern of neglect and lack of resolution.
